Bio:
Ipsens Enke Terracotta Factory was founded in Copenhagen in 1843 by Heinrich Ipsen and was later taken over by his widow Louise Ipsen. The factory became renowned for its naturalistic terracotta and stoneware works, inspired both by antiquity and by nature. Ipsens’ pieces combined artistic decoration with functionality, ranging from classical vases to decorative and utilitarian objects. Today, they are highly collectible, reflecting both the industrial art movements of the time and the strong Danish ceramic tradition.
